While there is a common and growing perception of a divide between rural and urban North Carolina, the truth is we are highly interconnected by people, place, and prosperity. Join Dennis Alvord, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Regional Affairs, U.S. Economic Development Administration and a host of others at the second Emerging Issues Forum in the ReCONNECT NC series, ReCONNECT Rural and Urban February 11, 2019 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center. This Emerging Issues Forum will examine the interconnectedness of rural, suburban, and urban economies, and strategies to more effectively promote and leverage these connections for increased success.  Learn more and register today!

Scholarships (free tickets) are available to increase geographic, demographic and economic representation at our Rural and Urban Forum.  Thanks to a specific contributor to our fund, some scholarships are reserved exclusively for residents living in Eastern North Carolina (i.e. counties along and to the east of I-95), especially those living in the region’s most economically distressed counties.  For more information about our scholarships, please visit our website or contact IEI staff at 919-515-7741 for more details.
