On February 18, 2025, public health advocates, elected officials, and key health leaders from across North Carolina will join FHLI and our programs for a morning dedicated to envisioning and enacting forward-thinking public health legislation.
This event is co-hosted annually by FHLI programs the North Carolina Rural Health Association, the North Carolina Oral Health Collaborative, and the Center of Excellence for Integrated Care. All are welcome to join us for a policy-focused discussion and a delicious hot breakfast. We look forward to seeing you there!

- Retain and strengthen the safety net by investing new funding in the North Carolina Medicaid Dental Program.
- Educate new providers across North Carolina by creating a rural areas forgivable loan pilot program.
- Broaden the safety net’s ability to provide quality care through legislation allowing all dental staff to practice at the full scope of their licensure.
