Each year, FHLI hosts the Jim Bernstein Health Leadership Dinner, bringing together more than 300 health care professionals from all over North Carolina (and beyond!) to celebrate the legacy of Jim Bernstein and the work being done to advance health care access and community health in our state.
This year, world events have made holding an in-person event difficult, if not impossible. So we’re taking the event virtual!
You’ll still be able to hear inspirational stories from others who are working to bring equitable access to quality healthcare to all areas of North Carolina and to ensure that all of our residents have the opportunity for a productive and prosperous life.
One silver lining? This year’s event will be accessible to those of you who, due to personal and professional commitments, have been unable to attend the event in person…which includes our ever-growing list of Bernstein Fellows and Bernstein Scholars. This virtual event can be accessed from the comfort of your own home, clinic or office!
This year, we will be celebrating two of the finest health care providers
for their contributions to health and wellness in North Carolina.
The 2020 Jim Bernstein Community Health Career Achievement Award will be presented to
Dr. Jane McCaleb
The 2020 Foundation for Health Leadership & Innovation Community Achievement Award will be presented to
Dr. Peter Morris
